Completed in 2014 the project involved the construction of a new Food Processing Plant Storage and Distribution Warehouse to be erected on a green field site at the Cross Hands Food Park adjacent to the existing Castell Howell premises.
We were employed as MEP Consulting Engineers for this relocation project, involving the refurbishment of the Mabey Engineering building in Chepstow, where the company moved from their Newport base.
The Production area involved the installation of specialised machinery and equipment to manufacture the Aluminium building products which is the core of the business. The project involved improving the M&E infrastructure and refurbishing the whole building to accommodate the plant.
Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre is one of only 10 such centres in the UK. It is a state of the art facility providing high quality fully equipped food production units and on site business support. The Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre forms part of the Golden Triangle of public sector support institutions in close proximity.
We designed and managed the MEP services installation of this project, whilst working for another consultancy to deliver this high-profile project.
We acted as MEP Building services Engineers for the new state of the art Recycling and Waste Centre, Sidmouth.
The site is a ‘split level’ design where the public can deposit items for recycling or disposal in various containers placed at a lower level, without the need to climb steps. Most HGV movements will take place separately from the public area enabling the site to remain open when waste containers are being exchanged.
