Charters Village Extra Care Development – Retirement Villages

We were appointed as the MEP Building Services engineers for the Phase 2 development for Retirement Villages, which included a mixed scheme of extra care apartments and separate bungalows.

MEP services included underfloor heating, hot and cold water services, ventilation, waste plumbing, power, lighting, fire alarms, call systems, security, TV and telephone wiring.

The project won the RNIB “Visibly Better” Platinum award.

Library Close Rhydyfelin

The project involved the demolition of the former library and former sheltered accommodation buildings, to make way for the construction of 32 flats with sheltered accommodation, ancillary spaces, commercial space and kitchens.

The development was built in accordance with RNIB Cymru’s Visibly Better Gold standards.

Working in partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, the development at Library Close incorporates the new Rhydyfelin Library and a large commercial space on the ground floor.

Springfield Court Residential Development Church Village

Springfield Court is Trivallis’ first development scheme, constructed on the site of three blocks of maisonettes which were demolished in 2014. The scheme provides 40 affordable homes, ranging from one bedroom walk-up flats to a 5 bedroom adapted property.

The project was part-funded by the Welsh Government’s Social Housing Grant (SHG).

The project not only provided new homes but also, throughout the construction period, there were opportunities for local people to gain training and work experience that prepared them for the workplace.

Tai Tarian Homes 7No Housing Schemes

We have recnt completed MEP Building Services engineering for the refurbishment and upgrades for 7No schemes for Tai Tarian Homes. This included working around fully decanted buildings and buildings where Tenant occupation has remained, requiring complex phasing of works.

The schemes have all been progressed to be fully designed with site works progressing in a phased manner via a mixture of framework contractors or traditional tendering processes.
